Do you find yourself confused and overwhelmed by the deluge of information bombarding you from all directions? Are you lacking peace – the deep peace that puts your whole self at rest? I once read that most of the struggles living as a disciple of Jesus come from trying to half-live it: following Jesus while keeping one foot in the world. We try to live with an eternal perspective while holding tightly to the things of this world. Straddling the fence, so to speak.
“So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32, AMPC)
God loves us radically and passionately. We show God we love Him by obeying Him, one choice at a time. We willingly shift our focus from the temporal things of this world to who really matters: Jesus! When we do, we experience His love more deeply…and overflow with His love to a world that desperately needs hope, peace, and joy. Then, and only then, can we become and make disciples as Jesus commanded.
There is no limit to the amazing miracles God can do in and through your life when you’re willing to be All In. May you find encouragement here for your journey!
