Do you find yourself confused and overwhelmed by the deluge of information bombarding you from all directions? Are you lacking peace – the deep peace that puts your whole self at rest? I once read that most of the struggles living as a disciple of Jesus come from trying to half-live it: following Jesus while keeping one foot in the world. We try to live with an eternal perspective while holding tightly to the things of this world. Straddling the fence, so to speak.
Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. (Romans 12:2, MSG)
God loves us radically and passionately. We show God we love Him by obeying Him, one choice at a time. We willingly shift our focus from the temporal things of this world to what really matters: eternity in heaven with Jesus! When we do, we experience His love more deeply and overflow with His love to a world that desperately needs hope, peace, and joy…and eternal security. Then, and only then, can we become and make disciples as Jesus commanded.
There is no limit to the amazing miracles God can do in and through your life when you’re willing to be All In.
I pray you find encouragement here for your journey!
